At the closing ceremony of WACP Conference, Prof. Dr. Mario H. Braakman, psychiatrist, ethnologist, and President of the World Association of Cultural Psychiatry, read a strong statement pledging support for RE-AIM and the importance of protecting ethnocultural mental health programs.

Dr. Braakman also wrote to Dr. Kevin Smith, President & CEO of UHN, stressing that the decision to close AIM has caused serious disruptions to care, education, and community connections, and urging UHN to reconsider and restore the program.
